<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantitatively detect the degree of reception signals being in a weak electric field state as the level of output signals and to suppress noise output in the weak electric field state using the output signals. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A receiver includes: a frequency conversion part for converting modulated reception signals to intermediate frequency signals without changing the amplitude of carrier waves; a fluctuation frequency detection part for smoothing a first signal indicating the frequency of the fluctuation of the amplitude level of the intermediate frequency signals by a prescribed ratio or more and outputting it as a second signal; a fluctuation level detection part for smoothing a component at or above a prescribed frequency included in the first signal and outputting it as a third signal; and a weak electric field detection part for subtracting the third signal from the second signal and outputting it as a weak electric field detection signal indicating the degree of the reception signal being in the weak electric field state by the level.
