<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide constitution capable of preventing a dummy flow channel from interfering with an individual flow channel, without impairing exhaust performance by the dummy flow channel, and to make a liquid discharge head compact along a nozzle arrayed direction. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A liquid flow channel unit 21 having a nozzle opened face 49 with a plurality of nozzles 48 opened arrayedly is formed with a liquid introducing flow channel 42, a common liquid chamber 43, the individual flow channels 47 for supplying a liquid in the common liquid chamber 43 to the nozzles 48, and the dummy flow channel 59 independent from the individual flow channels 47, communicated with the common liquid chamber 43, and opened in the nozzle opened face 49. The common liquid chamber 43 has an upstream area 53 extended along a nozzle arrayed direction from the liquid introducing flow channel 42, and a downstream area 54 turned back from a tip part of the upstream area 53 to a liquid introducing flow channel 42 side, and extended along the nozzle arrayed direction. The dummy flow channel 59 is communicated with a terminal end part of the downstream area 54, and an opening of the dummy flow channel 59 is arranged, on the nozzle opened face 49, in a liquid introducing flow channel 42 side with respect to the nozzle 48 positioned in a terminal in the liquid introducing flow channel 42 side.
