MAGNETIC CARD READER AND MAGNETIC DATA READ METHOD

It is possible to increase the environment resistance of a magnetic card reader and the system stability with an upper-node device.  More specifically, a magnetic card reader (1) having a magnetic head (5) which reads magnetic data recorded on a card (4) includes: a storage unit (a part of RAM (104)) which stores magnetic data which has been read by the magnetic head (5); a first comparison unit which compares the total number of the magnetic data and a predetermined first threshold value; and a first check unit which makes a judgment as effective magnetic data if the first comparison unit determines that the total number of the magnetic data is not greater than the predetermined first threshold value.
