PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide on-vehicle equipment or the like for informing a driver of contents of an E-mail without inhibiting the safety of vehicle operation as much as possible.

SOLUTION: This on-vehicle equipment 10 comprises a communicating means 110 for communicating with portable equipment 30 having an E-mail function, an E-mail acquiring means 120 for acquiring, from the portable equipment 30, the E-mail received by the portable equipment 30, a mail output length calculating means 150 for calculating mail output length as the output length of the text of the acquired E-mail, a destination setting means 180 for setting a destination, and a text outputting means 220 for displaying or voice-outputting the text of the E-mail according to the mail output length calculated by the mail output length calculating means 150 and a predetermined condition corresponding to the destination set by the destination setting means 180.
