<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-pressure fuel supply system which constrains a fuel pressure pulsation occurring in a low-pressure fuel passage while preserving endurance of a fuel damper for suppressing the fuel pressure pulsation occurring in the low-pressure fuel passage by the fuel returned from a high-pressure fuel pimp. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel system of an internal combustion engine is provided with a fuel injection system and a fuel supply system for supplying high-pressure fuel to the fuel injection system. In the fuel supply system, fuel 10 supplied (fairly flowed) to the high-pressure fuel supply apparatus 19 via the low-pressure fuel passage 16 is pressurized. The high-pressure fuel supply apparatus 19 is provided with a high-pressure fuel pump 20 for pressurizing the fuel 10, a check valve 2 for restricting return (a counter flow) of the fuel 10 from the high-pressure fuel pump 20 to the low-pressure fuel passage 16, and a pulsation damper 26 for suppressing the pulsation of fuel pressure P1, acting as the pressure of the fuel 10, between the check valve 25 and the high-pressure fuel pump 20. That is, the fuel 10 regurgitated is regulated by the check valve 25 so as to be returned to the low-pressure fuel passage 16 by only a minimum preset volume. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
