<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record recording data on a recording medium certainly, even if the recording data is input during mounting processing and/or release processing for the recording medium. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The video recorder includes a DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory) 5 as a temporary storage means for temporarily storing a stream to be recorded. A recording control unit 2 stores an input stream temporarily in the DRAM 5, if a recording instruction is performed when mounting processing for distinguishing the availability of a recording medium 10 is not completed normally.
