METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HALF-HEUSLER THERMOELECTRIC MATERIAL

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a half-Heusler thermoelectric material, which can obtain a single phase not inclusive of a hetero-phase by a simple and short-time manufacturing process using liquid-phase reaction sintering and applicable for industrial production. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A solid phase of a half-Heusler alloy composed of an intermetallic compound NbCoSn is generated by holding a solid phase of an intermetallic compound NbCo and a liquid phase of Sn in a state where both of them are brought into contact with each other.
