The independent wheel suspension (2) has a transverse leaf spring (17) running in vehicle transverse direction (y). The transverse leaf spring is connected at a wheel-carrier-side bearing with the wheel-carriers for supporting the vehicle wheel, and is also connected at an assembly side bearing with the vehicle assembly such that a force is carried between the wheel carrier and the vehicle assembly. A leaf spring is manufactured from fiber-plastic-composite material.
