PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling the size of an image of an information terminal are provided to simply touch a screen on which an image is displayed, thereby simply enlarging and reducing the image. CONSTITUTION: A target area determining unit displays a boundary of a target area on an image frame. A user touches one spot of the target area within preset reference time from a touch time for a tapping point. A size adjusting unit(140) enlarges the size of the target area according to a magnification ratio.
