<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric heating type hot water producer capable of easily realizing quick and efficient (energy saving) hot water supply in an on-demand system. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The hot water producer 1 is characterized in that it is equipped with a passage unit 2 comprised by incorporating a metal porous body 23 having water permeability and heated by energization by interposing it the middle of the water passage 21 which is formed by a passage member 22, and a feeding system 3 for feeding the metal porous body 23.
