PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing the crystals of a bis-acetylaminophenyl compound, by which the crystals of the bis-acetylaminophenyl compound, being a diacetyl compound, can be obtained in a high yield and in high purity. SOLUTION: There is provided the method for producing the crystals of the specific bis-acetylaminophenyl compound, comprising reacting a specific bis-aminophenyl compound with acetic anhydride in the presence of 1 to 3 mass times (the mass of the bis-acetylaminophenyl compound) of N, N-dimethylformamide, 1 to 2 mass times of N, N-dimethylacetamide, 1 to 2 mass times of N, N-dimethylsulfoxide or 1 to 12 mass times of N-methylformamide.
