<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove an interference signal that exists in the same direction as a required signal. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A base station has: first to fourth converters that convert received signals received at first and second antenna elements and third and fourth antenna elements whose polarization characteristics are orthogonal to each other into a BB signal; a first synthesis part that weights the BB signals converted by the first and second converters by first and second weighting coefficients, and adds the weighted BB signals; a second synthesis part that weights the BB signals converted by the third and fourth converters by the first and second weighting coefficients, and adds the weighted BB signals; a third synthesis part that weights the BB signals converted by the first and second converters by third and fourth weighting coefficients, and adds the weighted BB signals; a first processing part that calculates by MMSE the first and second weighting coefficients by which a synthesized polarized wave of a received signal of each antenna is orthogonal to a polarized wave of an interference signal that exists in the same direction as a required signal; and a second processing part that calculates by MMSE the third and fourth weighting coefficients by which null is formed in a direction different from the required signal and where the interference signal exists.
