METHOD OF PRODUCING ORGANIC PIGMENT, ORGANIC PIGMENT OBTAINED BY THE METHOD OF PRODUCTION, AND DISPERSION OF THE SAME

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide for efficiently producing an organic pigment as fine particles having, if necessary, an extremely small particle diameter and a sharp particle diameter distribution peak, and having advantageous dispersibility in a solvent by solving the problem of a flow path occlusion when producing the organic pigment by a flow type reactor using an organic pigment precursor soluble in a solvent; an organic pigment obtained by the method; and the fine particle and the dispersion. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This method of producing an organic pigment comprises: introducing a solution in which an organic pigment precursor soluble in a solvent is dissolved in an organic solvent into the flow path of a flow type reactor; and contacting the solution with a fluid heated to a temperature higher than that of the solution in the flow process to heat-convert the organic pigment precursor into an organic pigment.
