INFORMATION PROVIDING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROVIDING SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROVIDING PROGRAM, AND INFORMATION PROVIDING METHOD

It is not possible to prevent the data of objects (human beings, products and the like) existing in a narrow area from being retrieved from a database.  It is not possible to prevent the data of objects retrieved from a database from being associated with objects existing in the real world.  Moreover, excessive constrains are added to search conditions related to areas.  An information providing apparatus comprises an information storing means, a searching means and a checking means.  The information storing means stores positional information associated with objects.  The searching means receives a search request including the designation of an area and searches, based on the positional information, the information storing means for the data of an object in the area and outputs the identifier of the data of the object as retrieved from the information storing means.  The checking means rejects the search request if the area is smaller than a permissible value.
