<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a degassing material which has a speed for quickly adsorbing odor molecules such as acetaldehyde, formaldehyde and a capacity for adsorbing a large amount of the same and which removes low-concentration odor molecules, and to provide a method of manufacturing composite particles included in the degassing material. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The degassing material comprises a chemical reaction particle 16 absorbing the odor molecules by chemical reaction and physical adsorption particles 14 having a smaller particle size than the chemical reaction particle and physically adsorbing the odor molecules, and includes the composite particles wherein the physical adsorption particles 14 are fixed to the chemical reaction particle 16.
