<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit which provides a simple pre-pressure mechanism in a small space, and stabilizes a frictional force acting between a drive member and a driven object, and a driving speed of the driven object. <P>SOLUTION: The drive unit is provided with: an electromechanical conversion element, one end of which is fixed to a housing and which generates a bending displacement by means of electrical control; a friction member, one end of which is connected to the electromechanical conversion element and the other end of which is in frictional contact with the driven object; and a pre-pressure member, one end of which is held by the driven object, and the other end of which is held by the housing, and which energizes the driven object in a direction wherein it makes frictional contact with the friction member. A structure of the drive unit is more simplified and a function is more stabilized thereby. For example, when the drive unit is used to drive the lenses of imaging apparatuses of a camera or the like, a product which is further downsized, has a more uniform driving speed and has a more excellent precision for adjusting a focus is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
