PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent probe having a stem loop structure, not constrained by base sequence of stem sites, and allowing easy preparation thereof. SOLUTION: The fluorescent probe includes a nucleotide expressed by formula (1) as a constitutional unit: in which, R represents a fluorescent organic group, X represents a group connecting between the fluorescent organic group and a 8-position carbon of purine skeleton, and Y represents hydrogen or oxygen atom.
