PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner capable of easily operating electric components mounted on a circuit board. SOLUTION: In this indoor unit 1 of the air conditioner having a front panel 2 comprising air suction openings 4, 5, and an air supply opening 6, and a unit body 3 provided with an electric component box 11 receiving an indoor heat exchanger 8 and an indoor air blower 9 in a ventilation passage communicating the air suction openings 4, 5 and the air supply opening 6, and receiving the circuit board 10 on which the electric components 14, 15, 16 are mounted, at a side part of the indoor heat exchanger 8 and the indoor air blower 9, and covered by the front panel 2, the electric component box 11 has an opening 12 on a surface facing an outer side of the unit body 3, and the circuit board 10 is received in the electric component box 11 in a state that the surface on which the electric components 14, 15, 16 are mounted, faces the opening 12.
