PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly reliable vacuum double-wall container made of a metal by preparing a lead-free sealing glass for sealing an exhaust opening, preferably flowing even when placed in a position not vertically above the exhaust opening. SOLUTION: There is disclosed the sealing glass for vacuum sealing the exhaust opening which is formed on the vacuum double-wall container made of a metal. The sealing glass is used for a vacuum double-wall container made of a metal, which has a structure wherein the sealing glass is placed in a position that is not vertically above the exhaust opening in the vacuum sealing process. The sealing glass is characterized in that the sealing glass substantially contains no Pb component, and the total gas amount generated during the heating from 30 to 700 °C at a rate of 15 °C/min in a vacuum is 900-7,000 μL/cm<SP>3</SP>.
