<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate in which a polarizer is hardly cleaved in the case where the plate is exposed to a high temperature environment, a low temperature environment or such an environmental change that a high temperature environment and a low temperature environment are repeated, and which is excellent in reliability of display quality. <P>SOLUTION: A polarizing plate obtained by laminating a protective film on at least one surface of a polarizer is cut into a prescribed shape so that the average number of cracks each having a length of ≥50 μm is ≤10 pieces per 100 mm of the length in the direction parallel to the surface of the polarizer, in a polarizer part of the end face not parallel to the stretching direction of the polarizer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
