1,135,385. Multipling cables. BRITISH TELECOMMUNICATIONS RESEARCH Ltd. 28 March, 1966 [1 April, 1965], No. 13896/65. Heading H1A. A multipling cable is made up of a stack of flat, flexible, fibre-glass strips, each having copper conductors 3 printed on the two edges of one face, each conductor having a number of spaced terminal spurs 4 for soldering to groups of terminal pins 5 mounted on an insulating base 6, which pins project through holes or slots in the stack. The terminal spurs are spaced to ensure that any one terminal of each group is connected to one conductor only, and before the soldering operation the various layers may be held together with a flux varnish.
