Electroluminescent lighting device

Internal light for a vehicle is electroluminescent. It comprises a flat capacitor (6) made up of a base electrode (8), to which a pigment layer (12) is applied. A transparent, conducting cover electrode (14) fits over this and a flocking layer of short fibers (18) is applied to it.
