PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive transmission belt device which is robust over adherence of rainwater or the like and stably maintains a belt running condition while improving the transmission efficiency and endurance to be nearly equivalent to those of a flat belt. SOLUTION: Flat pulleys are employed for a driving pulley 1 and at least one of driven pulleys 2 to 4. Motive energy transmission between the pulleys is performed by utilizing a nearly flat transmission surface b1 of a transmission belt B. As a result, the cost of the belt transmission device A is largely reduced and further the transmission efficiency and endurance of the device are improved nearly up to the level of those of a flat belt. At the same time, on the outer surface of the belt, a plurality of protrusions 82a extending in the length direction of the outer surface are provided. The protrusions are allowed to engage with circumferential grooves 5a of restricting pulleys 5, 6, thereby restricting the movement of the belt to its width direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
