PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce leakage of developer in a developing device using a layer thickness regulating blade having a curved part. SOLUTION: The developing device includes: a developing roller 31 having developer supported on its circumferential surface; a casing 100 which rotatably supports the developing roller 31 and houses the developer, the casing including a feed port for supplying developer to the developing roller 31; a first seal member 140 provided on both opening side parts 102 opposed to both circumferential surface ends of the developing roller 31 of the periphery of the feed port; and the layer thickness regulating blade 110 which is slid on the circumferential surface of the developing roller 31 to regulate the thickness of the developer. The blade 110 includes, at a top end thereof, the curved part 112 having a free end 111 turned to the first seal member 140, and a second seal member 150 disposed at a corner part 112B of the curved part 112 to fill up the clearance with the first seal member 140.
