<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To input card information in a portable apparatus including a cellular phone and a PDA, etc. and to use the portable device in substitution for a card. <P>SOLUTION: Card information is input in a personal portable terminal with built-in optical transmitter/receiver such as a cellular phone and a PDA, the optical transmitter/receiver is connected to a card inquiry terminal to optically transmit and receive the card information.
