<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device wherein display luminance difference caused by in-plane effective voltage difference in a display region can be reduced even when a bypass wire for forming a window part is used. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The display device performing display of a normally black mode includes a first substrate having a plurality of drain lines and a plurality of gate lines crossing the drain lines and having regions enclosed by the drain lines and the gate lines as pixel regions and a second substrate disposed to be opposed to the first substrate and having a light shielding film formed corresponding to the pixels. The display device further includes a non-display region where the drain lines, the gate lines, and the pixels are not formed in a part of the display region being the assembly of the pixels and bypass wires bypassing and connecting the drain lines and gate lines parted by the non-display region, wherein the light shielding film corresponding to the pixel positioned in a place to which a signal is supplied without being passed through the bypass wires is larger than the light shielding film corresponding to the pixel positioned in a place to which a signal is supplied after being passed through the bypass wires.
