PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce memory capacity of a determination table, in a communication device and a method of terminating a maintenance management message. SOLUTION: The communication device with a virtual network function and a maintenance management function mounted thereon includes: a first determination means to retrieve a first determination table by using a virtual network identifier of a supplied frame; a second determination means to retrieve a second determination table by using the determination result of the first determination means and a maintenance management message included in a frame; a selection means to select the frame in accordance with the determination result of the second determination means; and a termination means to terminate the frame including the maintenance management message selected by the selection means.
