PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF TUNGSTATE OR MOLYBDATE OF BIVALENT METAL

The invention relates to a technology for the preparation of tungstates and molybdates of bivalent metals, which can be used as initial raw material for growing of crystals, used for the production of ionizing-radiation detectors in computer tomography. The process for the preparation of tungstate and molybdate of bivalent metal comprises mixing of tungstate or molybdate trioxide with oxide of bivalent metal with the further heating of the obtained mixture. The obtained mixture of initial components is heated to 600-800 °C by the action of microwave radiation of 2.45 GHz for 0.12-0.3 hours. The use of the invention allows simplifying the process, decreasing of energy demands and increasing of the product purity.
