A method for treatment of ferromagnetic metal articles by electric discharge in liquid is realized by movement of the electrode along the metal article, which is cleaned with intermittent feed of working tension to it and forming an electric discharge in the area between the electrode with the head piece and the metal article. According to the method, pumping a mixture of liquid with scale is carried out using a pump, and removing the scale from the liquid is carried out using a magnetic field.
