PURPOSE: An IGBT driver of a welding machine is provided to minimize IGBT breakdown due to malfunction by replacing the only part of a damaged gate unit. CONSTITUTION: A signal shaping unit applies a control signal to a driver. The driver drives each gate unit through four pulse transformers. The driver stops the IGBT of a gate unit by an error signal received through a soft off unit. The driver displays the generation of an error through an error display unit. An IGBT monitor monitors the malfunction of the gate unit and applies the error signal to the soft off unit. A power monitor unit prevents the IGBT breakdown due to the unstable power supply. The power monitor unit applies the error signal to the soft off unit. |
