PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generator using a baffle plate which improves end core ventilation by guiding a coolant gas, and to provide a method for cooling the same. SOLUTION: The baffle (124) for guiding the cooling fluid in the power generator cooled by a cooling fluid and having a flange (18), a stator and an end stator, has an inclined surface configured to direct a first portion of the cooling fluid flow (26) towards the flange (18), a second portion of the cooling fluid flow (26) towards the end stator, and a third portion (132) of the first portion of the cooling fluid flow (26) towards an angled surface (144) of the flange (18).
