PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce vibration generated on a tool body at cutting work with a reciprocating cutting tool. SOLUTION: The reciprocating cutting tool includes a balancer 10 reciprocating with a phase shifted by 180 degrees (an antiphase) with respect to a plunger 7 in cooperation with reciprocal motion of the plunger 7. The balancer 10 moves in a direction separating from the plunger 7 at a top dead center and a bottom dead center of vertical reciprocating motion, and moves in a direction approaching the plunger 7 at an intermediate position between the top dead center and the bottom dead center.
