<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To pull out a cleaning unit together with an intermediate transfer body unit from the side surface on the paper conveying side of an apparatus body without vertically raising a tandem-type color image forming apparatus having the intermediate transfer body unit and cleaning unit. <P>SOLUTION: A rotation shaft 131 of a roller 13 is positioned in a horizontal section 514 of a first guide groove 51, and projections 43a and 43b of the cleaning unit 4 are positioned in a perpendicular section 525 of a second guide groove 52. When the intermediate transfer unit 1 is started to be pulled out of the apparatus body 8, the rotation shaft 131 of the roller 13 moves the inside of the horizontal section 514 of the first guide groove 51 horizontally, and the projections 43a and 43b of the cleaning unit 4 move perpendicularly in the perpendicular section 525 of the second guide groove 52. Thus, the cleaning unit 4 rotates clockwise about the rotation shaft 131, and the vertical width of the cleaning unit 4 becomes narrow sharply. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
