Especially Corynebacterium glutamicum, Brevibacterium ammoniagenes, Achromobacter cycloclastes, Paracolobacterium coliforme, Streptomyces antibioticus and Bacillus megatherium. Method. By aerobic culture in media contg. sources of C, N and minerals, vitamins and bases at 10-50 deg. The medium may also contain alpha-amino-butyric acid or threonine with leucine 50 mu g-20 mg/ml. The I is isolated from the filtered culture medium by adsorption on a cation exchange resin followed by elution with dil H2SO4. Enrichment of human and animal food.
