PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique regarding a file having a binder for regulating the binding amount, which can regulate a binding amount of the file with a simple constitution as compared with conventional art. SOLUTION: The file includes: a cover unit having a spine, and a front cover and a back cover each connected to both sides of the spine in a widthwise direction; a first substrate as a binder for binding sheets, mounted on the spine of the cover unit; and a second substrate mounted approximately in parallel with the first substrate in the widthwise direction of the spine. At least one of the first and second substrates has a binding tool which can move to the spine in the widthwise direction of the spine, and has a fixing unit which can fix at least one of the first and second substrates movably in the widthwise direction of the spine.
