PROCESS FOR PREPARING FERROUS SULFATE MONO-HYDRATE

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing ferrous sulfate monohydrate is provided to economically obtain expensive ferrous sulfate monohydrate from cheap ferrous sulfate heptahydrate and to prevent the discoloration of the ferrous sulfate monohydrate. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing ferrous sulfate monohydrate comprises the following steps: adding stannous chloride to the solution after dissolving ferrous sulfate heptahydrate in water; recrystallizing the solution and extracting a crystal by heating the solution at 70~80°C; dissolving the ferrous sulfate heptahydrate and the stannous chloride in the water at the same time; and purifying the ferrous sulfate monohydrate using methanol or ethanol.
