The unit has electromagnetic valves (1) arranged to one another for controlling pressurized air flow. An electronic unit includes a radio frequency identification (RFID)-transponder (3) at a side of the each valve and a RFID-reader (7) at a side of a base element (2). Valve characteristics in a downstream monitoring unit (8) are compared with a reference assembly, for testing a valve assembly of the unit, where the characteristics are read by the reader. A binary display panel (9) is provided at the monitoring unit to directly display a comparison result, and includes different color LEDs.
