<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an organic-inorganic hybrid for efficiently immobilizing a polymer gel into the pore of an inorganic porous body without sticking the inorganic porous bodies and without filling the inside of the inorganic porous bodies to the inorganic porous bodies of ≤200 μm, and to provide the organic-inorganic hybrid. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing an organic-inorganic hybrid includes: the impregnation step of impregnating an inorganic porous body with a solution containing a monomer, a molecule identifying compound, a cross-linking agent, and initiator; the crystal generation step of generating a crystal of the monomer inside and outside the pore of the inorganic porous body; the copolymerization reaction step of generating a polymer gel by copolymerizing a monomer, a molecule identifying compound, and a cross-linking agent; and the cleaning step of cleaning an inorganic porous body where the polymer gel has been immobilized in the pore by the copolymerization reaction step.
