PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional carrying mechanism for carrying a recording medium by a carrying belt in an image recording device, in which since a platen which supports the carrying belt cannot be sufficiently cleaned, the carrying belt cannot rotate at a regulated speed due to a large sliding resistance, and an image record of good quality cannot be obtained. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device includes: a carrying belt disposed oppositely to an ink-jet head and laid over a drive roller and a driven roller; a platen provided between the drive roller and the driven roller and allowed to abut on the reverse side of the carrying belt to hold the flatness of the carrying belt; and extending arms provided respectively on the upstream side and downstream side of the platen on the inner surface side of the carrying belt. The reverse side of the carrying belt is pushed up by rotation of the arms to separate the carrying belt from the platen. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
