<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a hexagonal boron nitride sintered compact, which can be sintered in the presence of oxygen, has high relative density and has excellent mechanical strength. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes: a mixing/pulverizing stage where hexagonal boron nitride and an aluminosilicate are beforehand mixed and pulverized, so as to be a powdery mixture for sintering; a pre-molding stage where the powdery mixture for sintering is subjected to press-molding, so as to be a pre-molded body; and a sintering stage where the pre-molded body is sintered in an atmosphere where oxygen is present. The powder grains composed of the hexagonal boron nitride include oxygen not only at the surface but also in the inside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
