<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for signature-enciphering a data, based on an elliptic curve encipherment. <P>SOLUTION: The data is enciphered in a head-end system, using a random point R, and is digitally signed using the random point R. Only an x-coordinate R<SB>x</SB>of the random point R and only a signature component s<SB>signature</SB>of a signature are added to the data, after signature-enciphering the data.
