PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system, an image processing device, and an image processing method, reducing the frequency of occurrence of the error in which hand-write synthesis printing cannot be carried out, and carrying out synthesis printing close to the intention of a user. SOLUTION: A hand-written original document sheet has a hand-written area frame showing an area in which the user can draw, a foundation image showing synthesis target image data to be synthesized with a hand-written image drawn by the user, and an area detection mark for detecting the area of the hand-written image. The image processing system detects the position of the area detection mark from the hand-written original document sheet. The system specifies the pixels of the color of the area detection mark based on whether luminance information obtained by reading the area including the area detection mark by a scanner and color-difference information have predetermined amounts, and detects the position of the area detection mark.
