PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen the varieties of design and to prevent fitting detachment and breakage from easily occurring even when stress is applied in a foldable portable telephone set. SOLUTION: In a biaxial hinge mechanism 3C, for a support mechanism part (hinge 22), an attached upper unit is turnable with a rotary axis y as an enter. An opening/closing mechanism part (front case 21) is assembled to cover the hinge 22 from the lower unit side and is turned with the opening/closing axis x of the lower unit as the center. A support mechanism protective part (rear cover 23) is assembled to the front case 21 to cover the hinge 22 from the side facing the front case 21. A tightening part (screw 24) assembles the hinge 22 and the rear cover 23 to the front case 21. A surface fitting part (rear plate 25) is externally suitable for the rear cover 23 to cover the screw 24 and expose a partial area of the surface of the rear cover 23 to the outside.
