PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas turbine performing turndown operation to thereby simplify the system and operation of the gas turbine and to reduce manufacturing cost and maintenance and inspection cost. SOLUTION: This gas turbine 1 includes: a compression section 2; a combustion section 3; a turbine section 4; a gas turbine casing storing in its inside the compression section 2, combustion section 3 and turbine section 4; a stationary blade cooling air system 5 leading compressed air extracted from the middle of the compression section 2 to the inside of a stationary blade forming the turbine section 4; and a casing extraction system 6 extracting the compressed air from the outlet of the compression section 2 to the outside of the gas turbine casing. The middle of the stationary blade cooling air system 5 and the middle of the casing extraction system 6 are connected to each other through a communication passage 12, and a flow rate control means 13 is connected to the middle of the communication passage 12.
