<p>The sensor unit (2) has a position sensor (18) for detecting rotational position of a shaft (16) that operates a flap. A housing (4) has a connecting flange (10) and encloses the position sensor, and a fastening unit is provided for fastening in an aircraft vane. A connection point (24) is provided for an electrical connector of the position sensor. The housing is made of titanium by precision casting process.
