<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm pump capable of preventing formation of agglomerate even when liquid that is easy to form agglomerate or suspension liquid having particulates dispersed therein is carried. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The diaphragm pump 1 includes a circumference part 2a of a diaphragm 2, and an annular thick wall part 2c substantially thicker than a movable part 2b inside thereof and at least projecting to a pump head 4 side. When the longest distance from an inner circumference surface 6a of a housing part 6 of a pump frame 3 to an inner circumference 2e of a held surface 2d is defined as a distance A in the held surface 2d of the thick wall part 2c of the diaphragm 2 held by the pump head 4 and the shortest distance from the inner circumference surface 6a of the holding part 6 of the pump frame 3 to an inner circumference edge 8b of a holding surface 8a is defined as a distance B in a holding surface 8a of the pump head 4, A<B is satisfied and a movable range of the diaphragm 2 reaches the inside of a liquid feeding chamber 9.
