<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire a desired product quality and work efficiency, in a combination balance for selecting the optimum combination wherein a combined weight value is in an allowable weight range set based on a target weight value and also is equal to the target weight value or the nearest thereto, by combining variously each weight value of an individual article whose weight value shows a normal distribution, comprising one or a few individuals. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A simulated combination field acquired by simulating a combination field comprising N number of weighing apparatuses 70, 70, and so on, are formed, and each simulated weight value acquired by simulating each weight value of an individual article is supplied into the simulated combination field. Simulation using the simulated weight values is performed, and a deviation to a reference weight value of a combined weight value of the optimum combination anticipated at a driving time of the combination balance 10, and a selection probability showing easiness of selection of the optimum combination are determined.
