<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus which controls ejected sheets of printing paper to be aligned at their end edges. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The printing apparatus includes: a paper feed tray 14 for stacking and feeding the printing paper 20; a printing section 13 for printing on the printing paper 20 fed from the paper feed tray 14; a paper ejection tray 15 which can stack the printing paper 20 ejected after printing; a pair of ejected paper guide fences 16 facing each other in a horizontal direction perpendicular to the printing paper ejection direction on the paper ejection tray 15, being displaceable to move toward or away from each other, and each having a restriction surface at a position facing an end edge of the printing paper 20 on the paper ejection tray to restrict the position of the printing paper 20; an interface section 11 to input paper grain information; and a control section 12 to control the distance between the pair of facing ejected paper guide fences 16.
