<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair drier which is easy to use and generates negative ions, i.e. which is so constructed that it hardly tires the user's hand, is easy to use and its hot air hardly evaporates mist since imbalance in arrangement of its elements makes it hard to use and easily tires the user. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A mist generating device 13 which generates negative ionic mist, a tank 14 which stores silver ion water, a constant-voltage power circuit board 15 and an ultrasonic wave exciter driving circuit board 16 are arranged on the top side of a cylindrical body case of the hair drier, which has a suction inlet at one end and a blow off outlet at the other end, from a position near the blow off outlet toward its back and are housed by a cover which covers at least a part of the top side. The mist generating device 13, the tank 14, the constant-voltage power circuit board 15 and the ultrasonic wave exciter driving circuit board 16 are attached in predetermined positions of the top side of the body case which are selected in consideration of the weight balance of the hair drier.
