摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a manufacturing method for a worm wheel 5b not only capable of ensuring bending rigidity of a worm wheel tooth 9b but also reducing an abrasion amount at usage and capable of attaining enhancement of shape accuracy and dimension accuracy of a tooth part 8b. SOLUTION: Firstly, by injection molding of synthetic resin, an intermediate material 15a provided with an original tooth part 16 in which original teeth 17, 17 adjacent to each other in a circumferential direction are connected to each other by connection parts 13a, 13a provided on one end part in a tooth trace direction of the respective original teeth 17, 17 is formed. Subsequently, the original tooth part 16 is machined by a machining worm 14 having the same shape-same dimension as the worm engaged at usage. Thereby, only the tooth surfaces of the respective original teeth 17, 17 are cut without shaving off the respective connection parts 13a, 13a, thereby, worm wheel teeth 9b, 9b can be formed from the respective original teeth 17, 17.
